REPORT OF MARRIAGE
The marriage between two Filipinos or a Filipino and a Foreigner solemnized in Australia should be reported to and registered with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) through the Philippine Consulate General.

When reporting/registering the marriage of a Filipino citizen, the following documents should be submitted:
Requirements:
- Duly accomplished Report of Marriage (ROM) Form (4 originals). The form must be typewritten. Kindly ensure that all information is accurate to prevent delay in the transmittal to PSA. Sign the application form in front of the Justice of the Peace and Notary Public if the ROM will be mailed.
- Bring original and 4 photocopies of the following:
*Do not send the original documents in the mail. Documents must be certified true copy by the Justice of the Peace or Notary Public if the application will be mailed.
- Marriage Certificate issued by the Australian Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages of the state/territory where the marriage took place
- Photocopy of Passports of both parties valid at the time of marriage
- Proof of status of Filipino applicant i.e., Visa issued by Australia, Dual Citizenship documents
- Birth Certificate of the Filipina spouse issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
- Processing Fee: AUD$45.00 in cash or postal money order made payable to the Philippine Consulate General. Do not send cash in the mail
- Self-addressed Express Post Envelope with contact details.
Additional Requirements:
- Widow/er – Death Certificate of deceased spouse issued by the PSA or the Australian government for foreign spouse
- Annulled/Divorce – Annotated Marriage Certificate issued by PSA. It is important to note that for a Divorce decree to be valid in the Philippines, the petitioner or the divorce should be the alien spouse.
- Affidavit of Delayed Registration of Marriage (If being reported after 1 year from the date of marriage). Processing Fee of Affidavit: AU$45.00
The Consular Officer reserves the right to require additional proof of documents from an applicant to prove his/her citizenship, status or identity pursuant to the Philippine Passport law (RA 8239) and the Foreign Service Act (RA 7157).
RELEASING
- The personal copy of the ROM will be sent by mail the next working day from receipt of complete documents
- The Consulate assumes no responsibility for any delay, loss or damage in the mail or while the documents are in custody in courier service. The applicant should note the tracking numbers of all envelopes used and submitted.
If the applicant will also apply for a Philippine passport, please bring the ROM application and complete requirements during your passport appointment.
How to secure a PSA copy of the Marriage Certificate
The Philippine Consulate General will transmit the ROM the Philippine Statistics Office. There is a waiting period of at least 4 to 6 months for the availability of PSA copy in security paper. Please get it from PSA by providing the transmittal details (Despatch number, Reference Number and Date of transmittal).

REPORT OF MARRIAGE (ROM) / REPORT OF BIRTH (ROB)
The Philippine Consulate General will transmit the ROM/ROB to the Philippine Statistics Authority/National Statistics Office (PSA/NSO).
There is a waiting period of at least 4 to 6 months for the availability of PSA/NSO copy in security paper. Please secure it with PSA/NSO by providing the transmittal details (Despatch & Reference Numbers).
